Wrist

I broke my wrist (had a bike accident) on Labor Day; had a temporary cast for 10 days, then surgery to implant a plate and screws. 13 days later, they removed the plaster cast, removed the stitches, and recast it for 3 more weeks. Notice the nasty wrinkly skin! eew!

In and around Portland & West Linn

After returning from the coast, we enjoyed the Children's Museum, a local fountain and juggling at the fair.

Fun at the Oregon Coast...

More photos from our family visit in Oregon.... From indoor games of Battleship, to visiting the historic Astoria column (where Jackson & Kennedy practiced their karate moves) to playing in the Seaside sand, to checking out the fossils at Cannon Beach. It was a very enjoyable time.

My family visits Portland...

For one week of every year, my entire family visits Portland. This year we kicked off our visit with a 14 mile bike ride over 6 of Portland's bridges. http://www.providence.org/Oregon/Events/Bridge_Pedal/default.htm Other than Brian and Jackson blowing a tire on the last leg of the ride, a good time was had by all. Afterwards, we cooled off in Portland's downtown fountain.

And so it goes.....

My son, Brian, has continually encouraged me to create my own blog. So, with his encouragement, I will make an attempt at providing something of interest. The attached photo is of the two of us. More to follow soon.
